About Me

Welcome to Life Before Budget!

First off, let me say that I’m glad you are here!

Maybe you decided to stop by because you want to improve your relationship with money or maybe you are just a little bit bored at work.

Either way, I’m here for you!

For my day job, I love my work as a high school teacher. Although I love what I do, I am still planning to retire within 10 years at the age of 50. This blog details how I am using investing, saving, and spending strategies to get there.

Another member of our family: Prince!

This blog also talks about my life, from my hobbies such as running and enjoying nature to spending time with my beautiful wife and 3 awesome kids. No matter what I do in life, I always realize that my family is the most important part of it.

Although I have a major in corporate finance, I feel that I have learned about the best ways to handle money through my own life experiences. Sometimes I get this whole money thing right. Other times I don’t. However, I have always tried to learn from my experiences.

My goal is to help you live the best life that you can and use money to help you do it. My goal is not to encourage you to scrimp and save every dime possible, especially if this means that you fail to enjoy your life right now.

I think that you should find things that help you to enjoy your life first and then worry about the money after.

Figure out what makes you happy in life and go out and do it. No exceptions! If you love skiing, then you should ski. If you love to travel, then you better go and book your next trip.

Do what makes you happy!

Although we should do what makes us happy, we should also realize that money is finite. Therefore, we should always try to maximize the enjoyment and satisfaction from every dollar spent.

This blog will help you with this. I guarantee that following along and doing some of the things that I recommend will make you wealthier and happier.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
